We have the widest range of specialist fibre optic solutions for lighting in museums, galleries and display cases and can supply complete systems using glass or polymer fibre. We manufacture our own class-leading light sources and end fittings.

Being a complete manufacturer we can also make bespoke fabrications such as light tubes, rods and clamps and gantry systems which can be finished in-house to blend into their surroundings.

Why use fibre optics for lighting in museums?

O ne light source using a single lamp can provide many points of light and can be located in an unobtrusive and accessible position whilst the end fittings can be inside a case or at a height, where it would be problematic to relamp in-situ. The low number of lamps used also leads to reduced maintenance costs and lower power consumption.

Low UV and heat emissions from the end fittings means that sensitive items are not degraded as they could be with conventional lighting methods.
