Adjustable and Focussable Light Bar Systems From UFO

Common End Connectors

Light Bars can be supplied with either standard 1.2in (30mm) or mini 0.5in (12.5mm) common ends. Where a mini common end is used, a 1.2in (30mm) adaptor is required to fit a standard light source.

Mini common ends allow for more than one independently removable tube to be connected to an illuminator and require a smaller hole to pass through for easier installation. A maximum of three 0.5in (12.5mm) mini common ends can be connected to one 1.2in (30mm) common end.

Light Bars using 2mm or 3mm fiber in fittings with optional 1.5mm or 1.8mm points for infill with a single 1.2in (30mm) mini common end and tails from one end:

When using a mini common end connector, the maximum tails per bar is ten of 3mm fiber or 26 of 2mm fiber. Where infill points* are used, reduce the maximum number of fittings proportionally.

The UFO Light Bar system is a custom fabrication using the UFO34DA or UFO34DB mini trumpet fitting.

The fittings and optionally small interspersed points of light can be placed at regular or irregular intervals to suit what is being illuminated.

Light Bars are available in three profiles - 1.25in (32mm), 1.5in (38mm) and 2.1in (52mm) diameters - as shown above. Typical spacings for the fiber tails are between 2in (50mm) and 4in (100mm).

Light Bars can be supplied as a straight tube with the fiber tails emerging from one or both ends, or can be manufactured as part of a gantry system.

A range of mounting brackets for bars can be supplied. End caps are also available to cover the hole at the end of the bar.

Our range of Light Bars are made to order, to the sizes you specify, and come as standard in either black or white, or they can be powder coated to your specified RAL color.

The UFO34D eyeballs are always supplied in black, however the trumpets can be painted to a custom color to match the light bar.
