Universal Fiber Optics were contracted to provide lighting to these historic timepieces.

The collection at The Royal Observatory, Greenwich, contains many important, historic and valuable timepieces and navigational instruments.

Fiber optics provide an ideal means of safely and efficiently lighting these precious and irreplacable items. The use of UFO Aurora lightsources with integral dimmer units allows the light level in each area to be controlled.

The lighting for this exhibit was designed by Surrey based lighting designers, David Atkinson Lighting Design. With thanks to the National Maritime Museum for permission to reproduce the images shown.
